# Molecule Python SDK — Changelog and Release History

> Release history for the Molecule Python SDK. Version 0.1.0 introduces the initial public REST and WebSocket client with Ed25519 request signing.

This page tracks every release of the Molecule Python SDK, including new features, breaking changes, and supported environments. Entries appear in reverse chronological order.

## Version 0.1.0

<Note>
  This is the initial public release of the Molecule Python SDK.
</Note>

### What's included

* **Initial public client** — full REST and WebSocket client for interacting with the Molecule execution API.
* **REST APIs** — `MarketsAPI`, `OrdersAPI`, `ComplexOrdersAPI`, `PortfolioAPI`, and `RiskAPI` are all available through a single `Molecule` (or `AsyncMolecule`) instance.
* **WebSocket helpers** — signed connection helpers via `client.ws` and `client.iter_ws()` for streaming orders, fills, positions, balances, orderbooks, and trade prints.
* **Local Ed25519 request signing** — all REST requests and WebSocket connections are signed locally using your Ed25519 private key. Canonical string formats for both REST and WebSocket signatures are documented.
* **Synchronous and asynchronous clients** — use `Molecule` for standard blocking usage or `AsyncMolecule` for `asyncio`-based workflows.
* **Full error hierarchy** — API error codes map to typed Python exceptions: `UnauthorizedError`, `ForbiddenError`, `NotFoundError`, `ConflictError`, `ValidationError`, `RateLimitedError`, `RoutingUnavailableError`, `BadRequestError`, and `APIError`.
* **Supported venues** — Demo, Polymarket, and Kalshi.
* **Python compatibility** — Python 3.10, 3.11, 3.12, and 3.13.
